Those of us who grew up on Marvel Comics, and who were exposed to the adventures of Dr Strange from a very young age, would surely have never needed to dabble in supposedly-mind-expanding drugs. We’d already been to the Dark Dimension to sort out Dormammu, several times. A little tab that makes you see funny colours just doesn’t compete. And so here’s the mighty Captain Beyond whose turbo-driven space rock seems the most appropriate soundtrack to the adventures of the Master of Mystic Arts, and almost 40 years later still makes most of today’s efforts sound like Wham!
